WILLIAM MILES was born in New Jersey in 1874. He joined the Camden Police Department on January 3, 1905. He would serve for more than 24 years, finally retiring on July 15, 1929. At the time of the 1920 Census he was living at 1627 Fillmore Street in Camden's 8th Ward. Paddy Miles was a well known figure in Camden, both for his work on the police force and for his involvement in basketball and baseball around town.  

William Miles had moved top North Wildwood in Cape May County NJ within a year of his retirement. He passed away August 12, 1935 in Wildwood.
