JEFFERSON J. FLANAGAN was born in Pennsylvania around 1874. He was living in Philadelphia in 1910 He moved to Camden around 1921, taking a position with the Keystone Leather Company, where he worked until the early 1930s. Never married, he lived for 12 years at the Garden Hotel at 201 South 6th Street. Jeff Flanagan was well known in boxing circles and active with the Elks "Krippled Kiddies" campaign with fellow ex-pugilist Sergeant Ray Smith.

After taking ill, his landlord, A.E. Wills, took him to West Jersey Hospital on January 30, 1933. He passed away two days later.

FLANAGAN IN HOSPITAL, BROTHER BEING SOUGHT

Authorities in Camden and Philadelphia yesterday were asked to locate a brother of Jefferson J. Flanagan, who was taken to West Jersey Homeopathic Hospital Monday, seriously ill. Flanagan, former production manager of the Keystone Leather Company, also is well known in local boxing circles, having served on the Elks Krippled Kiddies Boxing Committee and taken an interest in local ring activities.

He was taken to the hospital by A.E. Wills, proprietor of the Garden Hotel, Sixth and Mickle streets, where Flanagan has made his home for the last 12 years. Wills asked assistance in locating a brother who is said to live in Philadelphia.

The funeral of Jefferson J. Flanagan, 58, former production manager of the Keystone Leather Company, who died yesterday in West Jersey Homeopathic Hospital, will tentatively be held Saturday morning. Efforts were made by radio last night to reach a brother said to be living in Philadelphia. The body will be on view at 423 Cooper street tomorrow night. Requiem mass will be celebrated in the Church of the Immaculate Conception at 9 a. m. 

Flanagan, well known in local boxing circles as a member of the Elk's Crippled Kiddies Boxing Committee; was taken to the hospital from his rooms at the Garden Hotel, Sixth and Mickle streets, Monday, suffering from heart and kidney ailments. 

Flanagan made his home at the hotel for 12 years according to A. E. Wills the proprietor.
