BENJAMIN P. ROSENSWEIG was born in Pennsylvania, son the son of Jewish immigrants from Russia, in 1891. At the time of the 1920 Census he was married, and living with wife Katie in the 400 block of Ritner Street in South Philadelphia. He worked selling ice cream at that time. Benjamin Rosensweig was successful in sales. By 1930 he had moved to Camden NJ, and had moved to 1546 Wildwood Avenue in the fashionable Parkside section. He was associated for many years with the Camden Bottling Company at 254 Kaighn Avenue, the corner of Kaighn Avenue and Locust Street. In 1950 Mrs. Rosensweig made donation for a new ark in the redesigned chapel at Congregation Beth El, the synagogue which for many years stood on Park Boulevard opposite Farnham Park. The Rosensweigs were gone from Camden by 1959. |
