RONALD CONLEY was a career police officer who served the City of Camden for many years before being struck down at an early age by cancer. He was hired by Camden City Police Department in 1986. He left to take a position with the Washington Township Police Department in 1989, but returned to Camden the following year. He rose through the ranks, with promotions to Detective in December of 1991, Sergeant in December of 1995 and to Lieutenant in November of 2001. During his time with the Camden Police Department he received numerous commendations for merit and bravery while part of the Patrol Division, Detective's Bureau, Homicide Division, Member of Narcotics Strike Force and Tactical Force Unit. Ron Conley was also an instructor at the Camden County Police Academy and First Vice President of Camden Organization of Police Superiors.

After a courageous battle with brain cancer, Ronald Conley passed away on May 17, 2006 at the age of 40.

Father of Taylor Lynn Conley. Son of Roberta (nee Lukoff) and the late J. Ronald Conley. Husband of Peggy (nee Lenahan) Conley. Brother of Sharon (Don) Lahner, Janice (Scott) Lang, and Donna (Jason) Moffett. Also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
Ron was hired by Camden City Police Dept in 1986. In 1989 he went to Washington Twp Police Dept and retuned to Camden in 1990. Ron was promoted to Detective in Dec. of 1991, Sergeant in Dec of 1995 and to Lieutenant in Nov. of 2001. During his time with the Camden Police Dept., he received numerous commendations for merit and bravery while part of the Patrol Division, Detective's Bureau, Homicide Division, Member of Narcotics Strike Force and Tactile Force Unit. Ron was also an instructor at the Camden County Police Academy and First Vice President of Camden Organization of Police Superiors.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing Sunday Eve from 6-9pm at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 642 Market Street, Camden. Funeral Mass will be held Monday 10am with a viewing from 9-9:45am at the Church. Interment in New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ. Arrangements under the care of BLAKE-DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, Collingswood, NJ. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Ron's name to Children's Hospital Foundation, 34th & Civic Ctr. BLVD, Philadelphia, NJ 09104-4399. Attn Division of Oncology.
