PRIVATE ALLAN B. EADLINE, 20, of 9 Fraser Avenue in Collingswood NJ, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W, Eadline. One of four brothers in the service, he was killed in action on Leyte in the Philippine Islands on February 28, 1945. His older brother Lloyd, a fighter pilot, had been killed in Europe only four days earlier. He had followed his brother into Army in September 1942, and had gone overseas in January of the following year. He was survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George W. Eadline of the Fraser Avenue address, and brothers George Eadline, a First Lieutenant with the Army Signal Corps in Europe, and RT2C Herbert S. Eadline, in the Navy. Herbert Eadline's brother-in-law, Edgar Crouthamel, was killed in a plane crash while serving with the Army Air Force in England in 1944.
