Philip C. Wendell

PRIVATE PHILIP C. WENDELL was born in Alloway NJ on January 31, 1897. By June of 1917 he had come to Camden, living at 331 North 3rd Street and working at the New York Shipbuilding Corporation shipyard on Broadway. By the time he was drafted, on August 28, 1918 he was living at 320 Point Street. 

Private Wendell was sent to Camp Meade MD, where he was assigned to the 12^th Company, 3^rd Training Battalion, 154^th Depot Brigade. Private Wendell died of pneumonia at Camp Meade in November of 1918.
