John E. Gaylord

SEAMAN FIRST CLASS JOHN E. GAYLORD was born in Camden NJ in 1930 to John and Mary E. Gaylord. He grew up in North Camden, where his family lived at 655 Vine Street. After attending Camden High School he enlisted in the United States Navy in March of 1947.

Seaman First Class Gaylord died in the Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Portsmouth VA on January 5, 1950. He was brought home and buried at Locustwood Memorial Park in Delaware Township (present-day Cherry Hill) NJ.
