At a special election held July 1, 1913 the adoption of Commission Form of Government for Camden was voted down. The vote was 2406 in favor and 4692 against. 

City Council on July 13, 1913 by a vote of 13 to 10 voted down the proposal to establish a municipal lighting plant for Camden

The Church of the Holy Name was organized on July 13, 1913. It dedicated its handsome new church at 5th and Vine Streets on December 18, 1927. This church cost more than $250,000.
