Milbank
Avenue

MILBANK AVENUE was the name originally given to Park Boulevard south of Bradley Avenue in Parkside. Park Boulevard as originally conceived in the 1900s ended at Kaighn Avenue. It first appeared in City Directories in 1902. At some point after 1914 it was continued across Kaighn Avenue to Bradley Avenue, where it joined Milbank Avenue, and the combined thoroughfare was called Park Boulevard. This was done by 1923, and in all probability was done a few years earlier.

Do you have an Milbank Street memory or picture. Let me know by e-mail so it can be included here.
