BANNARD ALLEY runs southeast from Kaighn Avenue towards Mechanic Street along the elevated railroad tracks. Its origins may be as a service road for the rail line. There are no businesses or residences on Bannard Alley, but it is a much used shortcut for pedestrians and bicyclists.
