Fire Destroys Church, Forces Evacuations

Fire at 576 Walnut Street

Church blaze: Camden firefighters shoot water through a flame-tilled window at the St. Rosa's Primitive Baptist Church. The fire yesterday rendered the building at 576 Walnut Street unusable. The three-alarm blaze, which broke
out early in the evening. forced the evacuation of three nearby homes. There were no injuries. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

Church fire: Camden firefighter Bill Bain walks away from the wreckage of St. Rosa's Primitive Baptist Church at 576 Walnut Street yesterday after making sure no smoldering embers remain. A three-alarm fire destroyed the 50-member church Saturday night and forced the evacuation of residents from three nearby homes. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
