KILLS HIMSELF WITH SWEETHEART PRESENT

Human beings are a pretty consistent lot, it seems. This story has repeated itself since the beginning of recorded history... and certainly goes back long before that. A similar incident occurred in Camden in June of 1928, and I'm sure this tragedy has played out many other times over the last 96 years here in the city, and of course elsewhere. If I hadn't told you the date, you wouldn't have known if was today, yesterday, or last week. A headline from 1913 Camden, a time where things, while maybe not all that different, certainly were covered in far more detail than today. Read the story, and do check out some of the hyperlinks in order to get a better understanding about who some of the players were, and of some of the places mentioned. E-mail me with comments, questions, corrections, and such.
