WILLIAM REYNOLDS was born in Camden, New Jersey on August 31, 1883 to Charles G. and his wife, the former Anna M. Thomas. He was one of nine children, seven of whom were living when the census was taken in 19100 and in 1910. The family was living at the time of both census at 324 Washington Street in South Camden. William P. Reynolds was then working as a clerk at a wholesale grocery.

By the time the 1914 Camden City Directory was compiled, Charles G. Reynolds had passed away. Anna Reynolds and her sons had moved to 907 Penn Street in North Camden. She remarried shortly afterwards.

William P. Reynolds was living with his mother and her second husband, George Wilcox, at 327 Lansdowne Avenue in South Camden and working as a teamster at the New York Shipbuilding Corporation shipyard when he registered for the draft on September 12, 1918.

William Reynolds Reed was appointed to the Camden Fire Department on October 1, 1919. By 1922 he had been assigned to Ladder Company 2, quartered at 619 Kaighn Avenue in South Camden, where he served for the balance of his career with the Department.

William Reynolds lived with his mother and stepfather into the late 1920s. The 1924 Directory shows them at 327 Lansdowne Avenue. The 1927 and 1929 Camden City Directories both show he that he lived at 1157 North 36th Street in Cramer Hill. By April of 1930 William Reynolds had married, and he was not living with mother and stepfather when the census was taken in April of 1930.

Fire Department records from 1931 show William Reynolds living at 2901 Pleasant Street in East Camden. By the end of 1939 he and wife Adele had moved to 1155 Lois Avenue in Cramer Hill.

William Reynolds was admitted to West Jersey Hospital on January 4, 1941 for a stomach disorder. William Reynolds passed away on March 23, 1941 and was buried at Arlington Cemetery in Pennsauken, New Jersey. He was survived by his mother, a sister, and his wife. There were no children.
