SAMUEL E. GREENE was born in Philadelphia. He came to Camden around the turn of the century and as a young man established himself as a cement contractor, a business he pursued for over 50 years.

A member of St. Augustine's Episcopal Church and a resident of 2137 Mulford Street, Samuel E. Greene passed away in May of 1953. He was survived by his wife of 50 years, Florence, daughter Mrs. Ethel Smith, and six sons, Samuel, Edward, Isaac, Elmer, Theodore, and Oscar, as well as seven grandchildren.
