JOEL A. WHITE JR., known to friends and family as Junie, served for 30 years as a member of the Camden Police Department. A veteran of World War II, he served in the United States Army and was awarded the Bronze Star. An original member of the Camden City Fraternal Order of Police, he was the local's oldest living member when he passed away on May 4, 2010 at the age of 88..

Beloved husband of Jeanette (nee Martin); Devoted father of Cathy (Darnell) Kirkland, Kenneth (Donna) Brooks, Deborah McHamm and Raymond Goodwin; Loving grandfather of Darnell Jr., Britne, Joshua and Ingrid; Dear brother of Warren White and the late Juanita Dean; Dear uncle of Jerome (Janet) and Janet White. Mr. White served the Camden City Police Department for 30 years, and after his retirement, was self employed as a landscaper until 2006. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II, recipient of the Bronze Star, and was the oldest member of the original Camden City F.O.P. Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Saturday from 9 AM at the FALCO/CARUSO & LEONARD Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 North Browning Road, where Funeral Services will be celebrated at 11 AM.
