DeLuca


JOHN ANTHONY DE LUCA was born on August 28, 1947 to Ferdinand DeLuca and his wife, the former Angela M. Forte in Philadelphia. He was one of three children, the others being brother Dominic and sister Angel Deluca. 

John Anthony Deluca was appointed to the Camden Fire Department on November 29, 1968 and reported for duty the same day. He initially served with Engine Company 8. Over the next 14 years he would work at Ladder Company 2, Engine Company 6, Ladder Company 3, Engine Company 10, and with Ambulance #2. He was qualified to work as a pump operator, driver, tillerman, aerial operator and as acting captain. 

John A DeLuca lived at 143 Eutaw Avenue in East Camden. By 1980 he had moved to 506 Beechwood Avenue in Cherry Hill NJ.

John DeLuca resigned from the Camden Fire Department on June 8, 1982. He passed away on September 24, 1992. He was survived by his mother, brother and sister, wife Angela, and at least one child, son John Anthony DeLuca Jr.
