EDWARD W. OLLEK was born in Camden on May 5th, 1945 to Frank and Ruth Ollek. He was one of ten children. The Ollek family was living at 567 Van Hook Street when the 1947 Camden City Directory was compiled, and were still at that address in the fall of 1969. 

Edward Ollek married Adelle Laczynski in 1965. There were two children, Edward and Barbara.

Edward Ollek was appointed to the Camden Fire Department on November 3, 1969 and remained on the force for over 25 years, retiring on July 1, 1995. 

When residency restrictions were removed from the Camden Fire Department, Edward Ollek moved to Williamstown, New Jersey. He was in business as the owner and operator of Ed's Carpet Center in Williamstown for many years. 

Edward Ollek passed way on November 10, 2006, and was buried at St. Joseph's Cemetery at Chews Landing.

Of Williamstown, NJ, age 61, on November 10, 2006. Born in Camden, he has lived in Williamstown for 35 years.
Mr. Ollek was a fireman for the City of Camden for 25 years before retiring. He also owned and operated Ed's Carpet Center in Williamstown for many years. He enjoyed boating, fishing and spending time with his family.
Beloved husband for 41 years of Adelle Ollek (nee Laczynski). Devoted father of Edward Ollek and his wife Laurie of Williamstown and Barbara Huff and her husband John of Williamstown. Loving grandfather of Ashley, Jessica, Amanda and Samantha. Also survived by 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday eve. from 7:00 - 9:00 PM and Tuesday from 9:00 - 10:00 AM at the FARNELLI FUNERAL HOME, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, where a service will follow at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Chews Landing.
