GLOUCESTER SOLDIER DIES OF HEART ATTACK 

Walter Walker, 38, of 914 Kohler Street, Gloucester City, a private in the U.S. Army Air Force, died suddenly from a heart attack in Atlantic City on Thursday, (November 12, 1942). He was inducted at Fort Dix with a large group of selectees from the Gloucester area two weeks ago. He was transferred to Atlantic City a few days later and was a member of the 611th school squadron. He was stricken suddenly on Thursday night and died a few minutes later.
    Private Walker was a foreman at the plant of the Hinde-Dauch Company, Gloucester City, seven years before his induction. He is survived by his mother, Sophie, a sister, Mrs. Elsie Handwerker, of Gloucester, and two brothers, Robert and Theodore, of Philadelphia.
    Funeral services will be held today at 1:00 PM at the Etherington funeral home, 700 Powell Street, Gloucester. Burial will be at Greenmount Cemetery, Philadelphia PA
