TECHNICIAN FIFTH CLASS THOMAS M. SHERIDAN, of 307 Mercer Street in Gloucester City NJ, was killed in action was killed in action in Europe on December 22, 1945. In the Army for four years, he had participated in every invasion from North Africa to Germany. Wounded in the invasion of Cherbourg, he was released from a hospital in September of 1944, when he again went into action with an infantry unit. 

A Requiem Mass for Thomas Sheridan was sung in St. Mary's Church in Gloucester City on February 8, 1945. He was survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Sheridan, and two brothers, John, who was serving with the Army in France, and Joseph, who had recently been honorably discharged from service after being injured.

Thomas Sheridan was brought home to New Jersey in the fall of 1947. He was buried at New St. Mary's Cemetery in Bellmawr NJ in November of that year.
