STAFF SERGEANT GEORGE SCHEINA of 24 Gloucester Pike, Barrington NJ was a 1939 graduate of Haddon Heights (NJ) High Schools. He had worked at the New York Shipbuilding Company in Camden NJ prior to being indicted into the United States Army on October 31, 1942 at Camden. He reported for active duty with the Army in November of that year. He went overseas in July of 1944. George Scheina was the tail-gunner on a B-24 bomber, and was lost over Czechoslovakia on his 47th mission. 

George Scheina was survived by his parents, Clara E. and William G.  Scheina. He was brought home and buried at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis MO in January 17, 1950.
